The 25-year-old Greiss spent last season with Brynas IF of the Swedish Elite League, posting a 2.92 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage. Selected by the Sharks in the third round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Greiss has a 7-5-2 record with a 2.77 goals-against average in 19 career games with San Jose.
