Ahead 81-78 with 5 1/2 minutes remaining in the third, the Suns put together a 13-5 flurry to gain some breathing room. Frye's dunk capped the run, making it a 94-83 contest with under a minute left on the clock. The score was 96-86 after three periods.

LA scored the first six points of the fourth to cut the deficit to four. Rasual Butler's trey and Gooden's three-point play made it 96-92 with 10:40 to play.

The Suns put together a 16-6 burst moments later to pull away. Phoenix made four three-pointers during the run, which Jared Dudley ended with a trey for a 116-102 margin with five minutes to play. Phoenix cruised to victory from that point on.

With the score deadlocked at 23-all late in the first quarter, the Suns went on a 13-1 run to gain some distance. Dudley's slam capped the spurt, making it a 36-24 game with under a minute to go.

The Clippers responded by bridging the first and second periods with a 10-0 flurry. DeAndre Jordan's dunk had Los Angeles within 36-34 in the early stages of the second. Lopez's three-point play before halftime had Phoenix ahead 63-59.
