Friedel doesn't plan to retire just yet

05/05/2010 -
Birmingham, England (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Veteran Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad
Friedel says that he has no plans to retire just yet, despite being less than
a year away from his 40th birthday.
The 39-year-old USA international has enjoyed two superb seasons since heading
to Villa Park from Blackburn and is in no hurry to call time on his long
career just yet.
He told the club's official website: "Every time you get a year older, people
want to talk about you being in this form or that form and think it has to do
with age.
"I feel fantastic physically. Age is no issue at the moment at all, except the
experience helps.
"I feel physically the same way as I did when I was 25. There are many
goalkeepers around the league who would say the same, like David James, Edwin
Van der Sar and Mark Schwarzer."
